Char Wilson-Amos

Char Wilson-Amos serves as the Principal of Claudine Brown Elementary School and brings 27 years of experience in education to the Cougar community. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Mississippi Valley State University, a Master of Education in Elementary Education from Delta State University, and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Concordia University Irvine.

Mrs. Wilson-Amos spent over 20 years as a K–8 classroom teacher and later served as Assistant Principal of East Elementary, experiences that deeply shaped her student-centered leadership approach. She believes Claudine Brown Elementary must provide a high-quality learning experience where all students can achieve their potential in an inclusive, safe, and positive environment that builds a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Passionate about literacy and learning, Mrs. Wilson-Amos believes all children can learn and is committed to instilling a love for reading and learning in every student. She proudly celebrates the school’s culture and community—because at Claudine Brown, you can’t hide Cougar pride!
